Vuoi aiutare i bambini indiani delle riserve???

La raccolta giocattoli 2004-2005 che abbiamo fatto con Sentiero Rosso è stata molto prolifica .A differenza del precedente viaggio in cui decidemmo di spargere i regali strada facendo, quest'anno abbiamo abbiamo deciso di creare un rapporto di collaborazione fisso con qualche struttura presente nelle riserve. Eravamo partiti con l'idea di dare tutto alla St.Joseph Indian School di Chamberlain, ma sinceramente i vostri doni sarebbero stati una goccia in mezzo all'oceano.

Questa scuola, infatti, è meravigliosa e anche economicamente sta messa molto bene, meno male!!!

Quindi abbiamo atteso di arrivare a Rosebud, e lì abbiamo avuto il nostro incontro, programmato da Wakan Tanka che decide tutto.

Vicino la chiesa, abbiamo conosciuto TRAVIS EAGLE DEER, un ragazzo Lakota che ci ..ha portato in una struttura in corso di ristrutturazione.

In questo luogo sta nascendo lo Youth Center di St. Francis, un centro in cui i ragazzi ed i bambini possono formarsi stando alla larga da alcool e droga.Travis insegnerà loro anche le danze, affinchè i ragazzi possano fare qualche spettacolo, e chissà, magari un giorno li inviteremo noi qui in Italia.

Travis non riceve nessun soldo per fare questo, nè tantomeno finanziamenti  statali.

Il suo sogno è quello di creare una buona struttura avviat, così da poter bussare al governoe chiedere dei fondi statali.

I vostri giocattoli sono finiti ai bambini dello Youth Center, e nei prossimi giorni, grazie al contributo dei 7 viaggiatori di quest'anno, partiranno altri scatoloni contenenti materiale didattico che i ragazzi e i bambini utilizzeranno.

Hello I am doing pretty good just keeping busy...here in St.Francis hope your visit here was good.I just wanted to let you know that Youth Center will be for the youth of St Francis and, it will be a safe place for the children to be.

There will be computers available for the youth, also there will be a numerous amount of activities for them also. These will includes ho too make powwow outfits for them also a song club We hope to travel around and do show also talk about our outfits and the dances that we do. One of the goals for the Youth Center is to bring the family together,wheter it be making outfits, or going to the sweatlodge together.

As long is a family member is there to support the child in his or her goals and belief. There will be a lot of other organization who will put on activities for the youth.

As you Know the building does not have all th money so it is depending on the parents to do fundraising to pay the bills and the upkeep of the Youth Center. Also the building is very greatful for any contribution that may be made from Italy.

Allora se devi spedire un "pacco", meglio celere, il costo si aggira sui 52
euro entro i 5 kg, ma lo puoi inviare negli usa solo ad un destinatario che
abbia un recapito di rete fissa e devi compilare diversi moduli in inglese.
Alla posta mi hanno consigliato di fare una spedizione come raccomandata: ho
utlizzato quelle bustone grandi color pacco, ma sono acquistabili anche
negli uffici postali: costo 0,70 centesimi mis. 35x42, peso massimo 2 km e
costo max 15,35. Il tutto si trova esattamente documentato anche alla pagina

E' un centro per l'infanzia situato in Porcupine, Pine Ridge indian reservatione, South Dakota. Se potete aiutarlo andate a colpo sicuro, nel senso che hanno realmente bisogno, non come altri centri istituiti solo per arraffare soldi privati e statali, e che poi quando li si va a visitare non si trova mai nessuno se non l'erba alta (testimonianza reale)

E' l'ultimo centro che abbiamo trovato. Si trova a Porcupine, Pine Ridge, è gestito, tra gli altri, dai Medicine Men Richard Two Dogs, Richard Moves Canp ed "Uncle " Roy Stone, nedicine man della sundance dove danzo io.....

L'ultimo tassello che manca, è il centro di Dupree, riserva lakota di Cheyenne River che vogliamo realizzare in breve tempo, aiutaci, la riserva ha bisogno di questo centro.....
